About Me
My name is Megan. I am a born and raised Oregonian who (of course) has a love of the outdoors, hiking and the Ducks. I taught special education for 11 years but have always had the itch to do my own thing, thus my bookkeeping business was born. I have a very large extended family that I love to spend time with on family vacations, at some sort of sporting event, or just at happy hour. I also have a love of sunsets and photography…which really has just turned into a hobby of taking WAY too many pictures of sunsets. My bucket list includes going on a hot air ballon ride, Safari in Africa and hiking in as many countries as I possibly can.
What’s in a name?
Many people ask where the name of the company came from. Joelynn is a name my sister (Kristin) created. Our father’s name was Joel, and our mother’s middle name is Lynn. Our father passed away when Kristin and I were in college, and our mother (Terri) has always wished her middle name (Lynn) would be passed on. As a tribute to both of our parents, Kristin created the name Joelynn. She gave that middle name to her oldest daughter, and I used it to name my company.
